September 11th Meeting

Satoshi Kon passed away on August 24, 2010. To honor his memory, we will be showing Millennium Actress, the story of a life through film-colored memories. Satoshi Kon wrote the story, directed the movie, and even worked on the character designs. In our regular series, the characters reminisce and deal with their memories as well. Youko is haunted by memories of attempted assassination in Twelve Kingdoms, Haruka tries to regain his memories in Tactics, Jin and Mugen peek into Fuu's memories in Samurai Champloo, and Kirino and Ishida remember the antics of their missing teammate Saya in Bamboo Blade.

Showings are presented in Japanese language audio with English subtitles and are suggested for ages 13 and over unless otherwise specified. Starting times are approximate: Come early! No-Name Anime meetings are presented in and co-sponsored by the Santa Clara City Central Park Library. Many thanks to the library for hosting our meetings! This month, we're in the Cedar Room. Just follow the signs!
