September 12 Meeting

Let's welcome the new school year with several new series: Otoboku, Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok, and Samurai Champloo. We'll also learn more about the land of the The Twelve Kingdoms, Hachimaki's nickname in Planetes, dog behavior in Rumiko Takahashi Anthology, witch traditions in Tweeny Witches, and folklore in Tactics. Of course, the Bottle Fairies try to learn more about school as well.

Showings are presented in Japanese language audio with English subtitles and are suggested for ages 13 and over unless otherwise specified. Starting times are approximate: Come early! No-Name Anime meetings are presented in and co-sponsored by the Santa Clara City Central Park Library. Many thanks to the library for hosting our meetings! This month, we're in the Cedar Room. Just follow the signs!

"Shadow of the Moon, the Sea of Shadow, Chapter 6" - Youko Nakajima, Yuka Sugimoto, and Ikuya Asano have been whisked away to a monster-infested world where the inhabitants are suspicious of the foreign Kaikyaku. Fear and jealousy has split them apart: Sugimoto has left to serve King Kou and acquires her own Hinman, Youko has collapsed after battling a pack of youma, and Asano has been missing since that battle. A rat finds Youko, who has become suspicious and distrustful due to malicious illusions.

Kantaro must unravel the mystery involving the widow and her twin daughters who serve as shrine maidens before he becomes the next victim.
