May 2007 No-Name Anime schedule

MAY 12TH MEETING
The hands of fate and just plain ol' coincidence conspired to make almost our entire schedule this month one about "Grrl Power". Weird how these things work out.
Naturally, that means we have Grrl Power, from Akitaroh Daichi, the guy who brought you Fruits Basket, Kodomo no Omocha, and Animation Runner Kuromi. We're also giving Fate/Stay Night a try to see how everyone likes it. While we wrap up Master Keaton, we still have all the other regular shows going on, like Kamichu!, Rozen Maiden and Zero no Tsukaima, so don't miss any of it!
Don't forget we're at the Santa Clara City Library this year! Don't go to the wrong place!

12:30 Master Keaton #38: (Subtitled, Mystery)
The Master Keaton series concludes with a two-part story, "Hunting Season", about a series of murders by a pro with a knife, heroin smuggling and the Corsican Mafia. The suspected killer is a former SAS instructor. To prevent more murders, the SAS asks for help of one of the suspect's former students: Keaton.

12:55 Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig #5*: (Subtitled, Sci-fi/Cyber-action)
Section 9 is tasked with protecting the Prime Minister in "Inductance" when she makes the first inspection tour in Kyushu's refugee district after the announcement of the repeal of the Refugee Special Action Policy. A link is found between the Chinese Embassy takeover and the runaway GSDA helicopter incident.

14:15 Rozen Maiden #5: (Subbed, Fantasy)
In "The Staircase", when Suiseiseki makes Hina look like a liar, she runs off and sulks. Though the others don't care, Nori puts her foot down and demands they all eat happily together or no special dish for dinner. Can Jun make up with Hina before Suiseiseki and Shinki have to force her? What would you do to get a flowery hamburger?

15:30 Zero no Tsukaima #1*: (Subtitled, Comedy/Magic)
In "The Plebeian Familiar Spirit", Hiraga Saito is a normal student who gets sucked in to a land of magic and forced to be the familiar to Louise. Can he survive to get back home or will he be subject to Louise's whims forever? Making things even worse: magic users, or Nobles, look down on non-magic users, called Plebeians, and Saito is definitely not a magic user!

Based on the very popular, but not quite as appropriate for all audiences game: Shirou Emiya is a boy who is good at fixing things and can't turn away from helping others. "The First Day" begins his involvement in the Holy Grail Wars, a battle between the Magi and their Servants.

From the wacky mind of Akitaro Daichi comes a peek at the lives of Umi, Sora, and Ao. These three girls skip school to perform odd jobs from delivering lunch to fixing business processes for major corporations. It seems there's nothing they can't do -- until a mother asks them to convince her otaku son to go to school! This might be mission impossible, but the girls still tackle the assignment with all the energy of Kodomo no Omocha and all the heart of Fruits Basket.
