This new Studio Ghibli film from last year is sort of the sequel to Whisper of the Heart.
When the always-late Haru happens to save a cat from certain death, the last thing she expected
was to be rewarded by the King of the Cat Kingdom, but that's what she gets. But the Cat King
has more in mind for her than she realizes, and she'll have to find out more about herself if
she wants to get out. Even then, it may be up to the Baron and Muta (from the previous film)
to save her, if they can!

The Cat Returns is the sort-of
sequel to Whisper of the Heart, and it definitely carries the same theme of self-discovery.
It's different in being somewhat lighter in tone and more whimsical and surreal, though. But that's
not the only show we have, of course. We also have 2 (count 'em, two!) episodes of Banner of the
Stars, and we'll continue with She, The Ultimate Weapon, Noir, and many people's
favorite, Azumanga.
