September 2002 No-Name Anime schedule

CYBERPUNK, BABY!!
It's been a few years since the original Armitage series, and now the sequel is here.
To even out the recent spate of "girls with guns" shows, we decided to have some fun with "little girls with no guns" by showing an episode of Powerpuff Girls. How is this related to anime, you ask? Easy! We'll show you the Japanese dub of the show (with subtitles, of course). Powerpuff fans will be interested to see the various little differences between the US and Japanese versions. Finally, to finish out our schedule, we'll have the ever excitingNoir, the frequently frantic Kodocha, the supremely sci-fi Crest of the Stars, and always comedic Handmaid May. And more of the goodies from San Diego and Japan.
PLEASE NOTE: We will need to cut the meeting short because some of the staff will be attending a memorial service in the afternoon. Therefore, Riding Bean will not be shown, but will be postponed to another month.

12:30 Kodomo no Omocha #27: (Subtitled, Indescribable frantic Comedy)
Entitled "Pity Me and Cough Up Some Dough," this episode finds Mama's ex-husband back looking for another handout. After she kicks him out of the house, he manages to convice Sana-chan to help him make some money.

In "The Style of the Abh," Lafiel must rescue Jinto from the treacherous Baron Febdash and escape to warn Planet Sufugunoff of the attack by The United Mankind. Can she succeed without dressing as a maid?

Just for fun, we'll show one episode of the Japanese dub of Powerpuff Girls (but subtitled). In "Bubblevicious," Bubbles is tired of being "the cute one" and decides to prove how tough she is to her sisters.

1:40 Noir #8: (Subbed, Drama/Action)
"Intoccabile acte I" finds Mireille and Kirika taking out a mob boss in return for information on the Soldats. Unfortunately, the mafia is upset about this and brings in someone called Intoccabile (meaning Untouchable in Italian). The worst part is, Mireille knows who Intoccabile is, and it's the one person she's truly afraid of!

It's been 7 years since the original Armitage. Naomi, Ross and their daughter are living on Mars under assumed names. Everything seems okay, until Naomi receives a message from, of all things, a Third on Earth, who is being killed. Surprised by this, Naomi leaves Ross and her daughter to go to Earth to find out what's going on. Why are there more Thirds? Who's killing them off, and why is Ross getting involved?

In "Please Don't Look," after the plan to retrieve Cyberdoll May fails, Cyberdoll Sara and Nanbara send another Cyberdoll to retrieve the unpaid May from Kazuya. But can Kazuya, Kasumi, and May possibly defeat the plans of the smartest Cyberdoll ever produced by Cyberdyne?
