Event: 8th Annual Millbrae Japanese Culture Festival
The 8th Annual Millbrae Japanese Culture Festival was held on Sunday, October 6, 2013, outdoors near the library in Millbrae, California. Events on stage ranged from very traditional Japanese dance to modern songs by Sailor Moon cosplay group Animemiyu. A game show by the Mills High School Japanese Culture Club / Japanese NHS tested not only the participants knowledge but also their determination to scramble for the gong mallet used to choose which team got to answer. The finale was Cal Raijin Taiko which is composed of UC Berkeley students playing drums that they crafted themselves.
