Because Tom and Bruce wanted it, we're having a classic anime showing, featuring that classic of classics, Yamato! Many of us remember this fondly as the show Starblazers on TV, and now you can enjoy one of the movies. In addition to this, we're continuing our showing of that anime with the cool, retro look, Giant Robo. El Hazard also continues this month with the penultimate episode, and of course there is our usual showings of Nadia and Ranma as well.
The raffle will be on during break time, as always, and you shouldn't miss it! We gave away to some lucky audience members last month a special promotional version of the original Japanese poster for You're Under Arrest!, and someone else won the domestic soundtrack to that. So just remember, if you miss it, who knows what else you're not getting? We hope to see you at the September meeting!

12:30 El Hazard #6: (Dubbed, Mystical comedy)
Consumed by an uncontrollable rage, Ifurita attacks the royal palace of Roshtaria. Now the three priestesses must try to stop her, but they are simply no match for the demon's power. Makoto plays his part in the battle, during which his memory and mind mingles with Ifurita's. After what she sees, Ifurita loses the will to fight and flees instead. Jinnai brings his plans to invade El Hazard to fruition, while Nanami and Shayla-Shayla get even more irritated over Makoto's obvious infatuation with Ifurita the demon-god.

Susumu Kodai and Yuki must postpone their wedding when the original crew of the famous space battleship Yamato reunite for a last voyage to the stars. Mysterious signals from the distant planet of Telezart warn them of some interstellar terror. An enormous dreadnought, disguised as a comet, is on a rampage of destruction. Zohdah, now allied with the Star Force's old enemy Desslar Soto, plans to enslave the peoples of the galaxy. Although the Yamato is outgunned and overwhelemed by this awesome enemy, Kodai's superior military mind prevails, but only at a terrible cost. With only the spectres of friends and loved ones aboard what is now a ghost ship, Kodai steers the legendary Yamato into the depths of the cosmos to meet their destiny.

5:00 Ranma 1/2 Nettouhen #27: (Subtitled, Action comedy)
In the episode "I Love You! My Dear Ucchan" Ukyou finds that she has been followed from her former (all male) school by a classmate. Of course she discovers this only after the girl Ranma is attacked by the cute Kurenai Tsubasa. Ranma and Akane think Tsubasa's just a girl who's in love with Ukyou, but the real story is much different. Only when Tsubasa challenges Ranma to a duel of cuteness does Ranma find out how different the situation is!
